24/7 Emergency Animal Clinics

Blue Pearl Emergency Animal Clinic - It used to be (before changing ownership) you could take a rescued injured stray/lost animal there for treatment at no charge. However, the animal would not be returned to you and may be euthanized if seriously ill or badly injured, and if you did not take responsibility for the animal, it would be released to the AHS and it's future uncertain.  Not sure if that is still their policy (2018).

The following are NOT No-Kill Animal Shelters, but we do encourage adopting from them to SAVE A LIFE!!!
WARNING:  Both AHS & MCACC charge surrender fees & all animals taken to the Arizona Humane Society and county shelters are at risk of being euthanized; they may euthanize any animal under 6 weeks of age, or displaying any health or behavioral issue whatsoever.  The County is required to hold all other animals at least 72 hours, but the Humane Society is not.  It is possible for a pet or stray to be euthanized immediately upon being turned in to them without any chance of being rescued, much less adopted, although both organizations employ an Alternative Placement staff who do try to find rescues who will take “unadoptable” animals before they are e-listed.  DO NOT take feral cats or kittens to either shelter - they could be euthanized immediately (considered not adoptable).  All shelters are overcrowded.
